God Gets Mad
Matthew 21:33-41
Jesus told this story:
Once there was a farmer who built a beautiful farm-house. He put up fences and put animals in the paddocks. He planted fruit trees and crops. After all this work the farmer went away. He let other people use his farm while he was away. They promised to share with him all the milk, fruit, beef and chicken and all the other good things from his farm.
One day the farmer sent men to collect his share of the milk, fruit, beef, chicken and other good things from his farm. But the people who were using the farm killed the men farmer sent. The farmer sent more men, but every time the bad people on the farm killed the men the farmer sent.
At last the farmer decided to send his son. 'They will respect my son,' he thought. But when the bad people saw the farmer's son, they said to one-another, 'Let's kill the son, then when the farmer dies the farm will belong to us.' So the bad people killed the farmer's son, just like they killed all the farmer's men.
What will the farmer do when he comes back to the farm? He will give the bad people a bad ending. He will kill them, take back his farm and let others use it, people who will give him his share of the good things from his farm.
